Pre-existing Conditions and Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation

Many people believe that you're not entitled to receive workers' compensation benefits if you have a pre‑existing condition.  This is wrong.  For example, if you have chronic back problems that has been aggravated as a result of work injury, you are still entitled to receive workers' compensation benefits if that aggravation causes you to miss time from work.  Don't make the mistake, though, of failing to tell your doctor about any pre‑existing condition.  In the event that you file for workers' comp benefits, your failure to reveal a pre‑existing history may be the thing that causes you to lose your case.
