Flight Attendants

At the Fenner & Boles law firm, we have helped many flight attendants who have been injured on the job – especially flight attendants at USAirways. Because we have talked to so many airline workers, we understand the work environment and the pressures you are under. You have to make quick decisions and react quickly to dangerous situations. That can cause injury.

More Information

You may have to been injured in turbulence, pushing a meal cart or a beverage cart, lifting and storing luggage overhead, assisting a passenger to be seated, deflecting a heavy object from hitting someone, move equipment, or reacting to an unsteady flight. Any of these can cause injury. Back injuries and injuries from falls are common among airline workers. The injuries need to be treated and allowed to heal before you return to work.

You may have a repetitive use injury that gets worse over time. Report it as soon as you are aware of the injury even if you are able to continue working.

A common problem we have seen with flight attendants is that the insurer issues a Notice of Temporary Compensation Payable, which gives them the right to cut off benefits within 90 days. The insurer then arranges an evaluation by a “company” doctor who releases the injured employee to full duty even if the employee is not recovered, and then denies the claim.

We have represented many Philadelphia-based flight attendants across the country--regardless where they live or where they were injured. Many of them were told their injuries were not work related or serious. The Consultation is free. If you are an injured flight attendant contact the law firm of Fenner & Boles today.
